The WIN-Kolleg was established in 2002 on the initiative of the Heidelberg Academy with the support of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of the State of Baden-Württemberg. The WIN-Kolleg supports interdisciplinary individual projects of young scientists who have an interest in interdisciplinary research. It offers them a forum for dialogue and scientific cooperation. Members of the WIN-Kolleg have the opportunity
- to conduct independent research within the framework of the individual scientific projects granted to them,
- to independently lead a research group at an early stage of their career,
- to work on interdisciplinary aspects of your research topics and for close exchange with outstanding researchers (academy members).
The individual calls are managed as subprograms of the WIN-Kolleg. Within the subprograms, young scientists are supported with interdisciplinary individual projects. The WIN-Kolleg offers the project leaders a unique platform for exchange, discussion and networking within their subprogram, but also beyond that in contact with project leaders of other subprograms, whom they can meet in the Akademie-Kolleg.
